The 2012 production sale will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 6:00 pm MDT at the
Bowman Auction Market in Bowman, ND. Our foals will sell in conjunction with my
mom and brother who operate The Lazy JS Ranch at Bowman. This year the Lazy JS
Ranch received the prestigious distinction of being a Ranchers Heritage Breeder*,
bestowed by the American Quarter Horse Association. We are proud to be a small part
of the legacy. We sincerely thank all of our buyers and bidders from across the
country and wish you the very best of luck with your purchases. We would love to
continue to hear how the horses perform for you and would add pictures and stories
to our customer pages if you like.

"Yet I will show love to the house of Judah; and I will save them—not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but by the
LORD their God."
Hosea 1:6-8
My home ranch, the Lazy JS Ranch in Bowman, ND celebrated 50 years of
production sales in August 2009. For this special anniversary, I compiled a tribute
to our family, special friends and some special horses that have made it all
possible. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making it!
Our life philosophy can be summed up by a beautiful poem written by Theresa Whitmarsh-Berryman and
featured in the book, Believe, A Horseman's Journey by Buck Brannaman
(A bosalita is defined as a decorative bosal secured in the forelock. It has no real function; it is jewelry to honor the horse and his/her
accomplishments.)

I yearn to earn the right to wear the bosalita someday.
As I'm passing through the Light at the end of my life,
I hope I'll feel my Lord carefully tie it in my hair,
A symbol that I allowed the Master to complete His work with me.
That after I balked and braced, I yielded to His hands,
When I stalled out, uncertain, I learned to move forward, freely following His lead,
That when I flew in fear, not caring for my fate, but only for my fear,
I learned to slow my feet and wait on Him, until sure of Him,
I ran with faith, swift and certain and true, in the paths He made for me.
